Our office has several options for payment that allow patients to receive the dental treatment they desire now while spreading out the payment for such treatment over time. Most of our patients choose to place their charges for dental treatment on a credit card. The credit card option offers an immediate period of grace before payment is due and many card plans are tied to airline miles or money back rewards.
We accept all major credit and debit cards.
The next most popular payment option is a line of credit from two healthcare financing companies we have partnered with, American General and CareCredit (www.carecredit.com). Interest free options for 3, 6 or 12 months are available. Dr. Peters pays a fee up front to offer the patient interest free financing. Patients pay a minimum payment monthly to the finance company, but must be certain to pay off the balance of the account within the prescribed interest free period of time. Extended payments for 2, 3 or 4 years are also available. Application for financing can be made in our office and approvals are verified within 20 minutes. In addition, CareCredit has an online application process that patients can access from the privacy of their own home. Simply supply us with an account number and we will post a charge for the specific interest free or extended payment plan you are interested in.
For patients who are fortunate to have dental insurance benefit plans, we are glad to file all claims and send any additional information as required by the insurance company for as long as necessary. We want to help our patients receive the most from the dental benefit plan they own. Due to changes in the dental insurance industry, we allow all benefit checks to go directly to the patient. By removing ourselves from the acceptance of the benefit check, we are allowing the insurance company full accountability to the patient. The patient can freely call the insurance company for any and all information regarding their specific plan.
Therefore, whether you have dental insurance or not, payment for treatment is due and payable on the day of service. For established patients pre-paying the appointment one week before by cash or check brings a 5% savings. Our senior citizens, 65 years of age or older, enjoy a 15% fee reduction for non-laboratory procedures.
